How to Remove Attribution Powered by Blogger and Pages on Side bar






Alot of newbies and even pro bloggers do not like the copyright "Powered by blogger"  in the blogger footer. It is called the attribution widget. In this post we will show you how to remove it.

Log into your Blogger

Click on Template

Click on Edit Html just besides the customize box

Click on Format Template to Expand Html code

To find attribution, Press ctrl + F on your key board and find the following code


<b:widget id='Attribution1' locked='true' title=" type='Attribution'/>

and delete the code

You can also unlock by finding the code below :

 <b:widget id='Attribution1' locked='true' title=" type='Attribution'/>

and replace the true in the code with false

Now close Edit html, Go to layout, Find the gadget named Attribution, Click Edit, Click on remove and its gone.



While to remove Pages from Side bar, this most times comes with customized blog templates

Search for the code below :


 <b:widget id='Pages1' locked='true' title=" type='Pages'/>

and replace the true in the code with false.

close edit html, go to layout, find the gadget that says pages, click on remove and you are done.
