How to Stop Search Engines from Linking to your Facebook Timeline

But in this tutorial, we will be showing you how to hide your facebook identity on search engines; that is how to stop search engines from linking to your facebook timeline.
Most times when you block someone on facebook, you do not appear on the person's facebook search so the only alternative might be to use a search engine or to search for you, from someone's page. Someone might also use search engines to get information about you as some of the results that will be displayed might be linked to your facebook timeline, In other to stop this you can hide your timeline from search engines.

1. Log in to your facebook account, At the top right corner, click on the gear Icon/settings icon

2.On the dropdown menu, click on privacy settings

3. Click on Privacy, it comes with a with a padlock icon besides it, then Privacy settings and tools will be displayed

On the "who can look me up" tab, click edit right beside "do you want other search engines to link to your timeline" and select off.

and you are done.
