Backing up your blog is very important. Some days back i showed you Two ways to back up your blogger blog, but in this tutorial i will be showing you how to easily back up your word press blog from your Cpanel. A lot of hosts fail to provide back up for their clients when they need it so it is important we learn how to back up our blogs on our own in other not to lose any of our contents in the future when we encounter any problem. My friend lost his three months posts when his host could not provide a back up file of three months ago.
How to back up your word press blog from your cpanel
- Log in into your Cpanel
- Under Databases Tab, Click on myphpadmin
- Select your database from the table list on your left e.g wordpress
- Click Export ( when exporting, you will see three check boxes, select gzipped )
- Locate file manager in your cpanel
- Click on www directory
- Select all the files from top to bottom( you can do this easily by clicking on select all)
- Click on compress on the top right of your cpanel
- On the options provide, select zip archive or zip
- Then download the zip file/archive
