How to set custom url for Google+ page or profile

Google plus is the popular social media site owned by the search giants Google. It has alot of amazing features laid down for it's users and these features are increasing by the day. Recently google introduced custom urls for googleplus users.
When google plus was introduced, your google plus id is always very long and not easy to remember especially since it consists of a series of number but I think after much consideration, Google decided to introduce these custom urls to help it's members remember their profile of page id easily.

Requirements for getting a google+ custom url

Before anyone can getting a google+ custom url, your google+ profile or page needs to be standing and meet the following requirements below :

• Your Account must be 30 days old or more
• You must have 10 or more followers
• Your profile or page must be linked to a valid website or blog
• Your profile or page must have a photo

How to set custom url for Google plus profile or page

If you meet the above requirements, you will see a notification above your google plus profile or page when you log in

Step 1 : Click the About tab on your profile

Step 2 : Click on Get Link located under your Google+ url

Step 3 : A box will appear showing you custom urls that have been approved for you. If you see more than one option, select the one you like best

Step 4 : Check the box below the custom urls to agree to terms of service

Step 5 : Click change url

Step 6 : You will be asked to verify your account by your mobile number. Select your country and your country code will appear, then enter your mobile number and a code will be sent to you

Step 7 : Enter the code that was sent to your mobile number and click verify and you are done
