Mobile telecommunication Giant, MTN has just introduced a very nice feature which allows you borrow airtime from them and payback later.
Sometime last year, Airtel Introduced this feature where by you are charged 10% of everything you borrow now I think MTN has decided to follow the footstep too. MTN has introduced this feature in other african countries such as Ghana, Uganda, Zambia and now they know it's time for Nigerians to also benefit from this feature, since Nigeria is one of the country with the highest number of users.
On the 8th of february 2014, MTN introduced this feature they called MTN XtraTime, which allows you to borrow airtime/credit and payback later.
This service is available to prepaid customers who have between 0-12 naira on their account balance and meets up MTN terms and conditions for this service which include tenure of line usage and recharge frequency.
To access this service, dial *606# and use the displayed menu to check eligibility, also to request airtime, as well as see your XtraTime transaction history.
Note : This service attracts 10% charge which means if you borrow N100 you will be given N90 while Mtn deducts the 10% and when you recharge, N100 will be deducted from your account.
I think this service will actually come in very handy during emergencies where by this is no means for you to get Airtime.

cool cool i pity them, i borrowed some from airtel 3 months ago now paying back is the problem.

ReplyDeleteLOL, I'll never borrow airtime from those thieves again. They almost made me cry the last time I borrowed 200naira from them to activate 50mb only to be give 180naira :/
