Legit Ways to Make Money Online without an Investment

Here are a few ways you can make money online by investing your time only and not your money. The Internet world is full of thieves and mongrels who just want to exploit you, so be ultra careful in your dealings with people. Do not give up too much of your time without guarantees of payment. And, obviously, if you can be paid via Skrill, Google wallet or PayPal instead of giving them your bank details then all the better.

  • Filling in surveys

This one is the worst for getting ripped off. So, here is how it is done followed by a batch of warnings. You sign up with a company and they offer to pay you money if you fill in surveys. Fill in surveys through the day and you earn money which is supposed to be paid to you within a certain time limit (it really is that simple).

  • Warnings about surveys

There are hundreds, if not thousands, of websites that are set up pretending to be these survey companies. What they do is have you fill out the survey and then they submit it to a real survey company in their name. They collect the money and leave you standing. The worst thing is that they often say they won’t pay you till the end of the month or until you have earned $50-$200. This means that you may spend all month (or longer) filling out surveys whilst they collect the money, only for them to turn around and not pay you.

Others will try to get you on technicalities. There are companies that say you must earn $50 per month. If you do not earn $50 within a month then your account starts again next month from scratch. If you do earn over $50 then they pay you. The trick is that they only let you fill out $45 worth of surveys.

  • Sell you photographs

There are selling websites that allow you to sell your images on their marketplace. What separates selling on here to selling on places such as eBay is that you do not have to put up any investment. On eBay, if you put up an advert for a video game and it does not sell, then you have to pay for that advert at the end of the selling period.

The difference is that with most photo selling marketplaces you are able to list your inventory of images without having to pay for the privilege. Most of them will only charge you a commission “if” you sell an image. This is obviously far better. There are even websites that sell images for a large amount, but you do have to prove your metal in order to gain a seller account.

  • Sell your cartoons

If you are a cartoonist, then you can sell your cartoons in the same way that you may do with photos. The only difference (a big difference) is that there are far, far fewer cartoon selling marketplaces. Of the few out there you will discover that they want money up front.

There are some websites that operate like the photo selling websites mentioned above. If you are lucky enough to find them then you may sell some cartoons. In fact, the only thing they get snippy about is if you put a cartoon on their marketplace and then go and put the same cartoon on another marketplace.

  • Go on social media and offer a service

This is more of a wildcard approach, but let’s say that you are a computer programmer who is good at making iPhone apps. You may set up a Facebook fan page or a Google+ page and promote your services. You get the free advertising and if someone contacts you then you do not need to pay any commission fees.

  • Sell birthday and Christmas presents on Amazon

This is possibly the only one on this list that breaks the investment rule. This is not because you have to pay to put up adverts because you do not. You can sell things without any investment and they just take a commission off of any sales you make. Where this one may break the investment rule is the fact that you need an item to sell, and one assumes that at some point you had to pay for the item you are selling. So, this technique involves just selling the presents you received at Christmas and on your birthday. That way you have still not had to invest any money in the endeavor.
