Windows 8 is the improvement of windows 7. It was launched sometime ago by Microsoft and it's features are better than that of windows 7. Most things in windows 7 and 8 are alike except for a few and windows 8 is a little bit hard to understand but with time, it's users get use to it.
One of the problems windows 8 users encounter is how to easily shutdown their system. Unlike windows 7 where you can easily shutdown the system by clicking the Start button and selecting shutdown, in windows 8 there is no start button. The shutdown button in windows 8 is placed in a secret place, simply hover you mouse to the extreme right, a bar will appear, then click on settings and you will find the shutdown button and other buttons.
Today i will be showing you a trick that will help you to easily shutdown your system without having to go through the hassles of hovering your mouse just to find a way to shutdown your system.
How To Shutdown Windows 8 in One Click
- On your computer desktop, Press right click in your mouse
- Click on new, and but under folder, click on Shortcut and create a shortcut
- And then write Shutdown /s/t 0 in the type the location of items field
- Click on the next button to continue
- Now write the name of that file in 3 above
- Click on Finish button
- Now a shortcut will be created on your desktop
- Right click on the shortcut
- Click on Properties
- You will be shown the shortcut tab, click on the Change Icon button
- You will see an error that the file contains no Icon and you will be asked to choose icon from a different location, just click the OK button.
- A pop up box will appear and you will see alot of icons, Click on the Shutdown Icon, Click OK and Click Apply
- Now your shortcut is ready.
- Click on the shortcut icon and drag it to the task bar
- Just click on the icon once on the task bar and your system will just shutdown.
Thats it, you are done. You can now easily shutdown your windows 8.
