How to Use Only First Name on Facebook (Single Name)

Facebook does not allow using only first name but sometimes we want to make sure that our profile as well as name is special and unique and one way to do so is by using just first name.

Facebook allows Indonesian facebook accounts to use  single names because in their country, many people do not have a surname and also some people in indonesia have just a single name, So to be able to use single name on facebook, the idea is that you have to be indonesian. So in this tutorial I will be showing you how to use a single name on facebook.


How to use only first name on Facebook ( Single Name)

I must warn you that this trick is not a good one and it can get your facebook account banned if facebook finds out and in most times after changing your name, you might not be able to reverse the change you have made.

This trick involves changing your IP address to Indonesia IP address and well as changing your language to indonesia.

The tricks works well when you use mozilla firefox web browser.

  • Log into your Facebook account
  • Goto Account settings
  • Change your facebook language to Indonesia
  • You can search for Indonesia IP's HERE
  • After getting your IP, on your mozilla firefox menu, goto options
  • a box will be displayed, on the upper right of the displayed box, click on advanced with the gear icon
  • Under Connection you will find "configure how firefox connects to the internet"
  • Click on Settings just beside the above word in quote
  • Click on "manual proxy configuration"
  • Add the Indonesian IP you have gotten and click OK
  • Go back to your Facebook account, Fill in just your first name, leave the last name box empty on the account settings and then save.
  • Go back to your firefox menu, Options, Advanced, Settings and now click on use system proxy settings and then Ok.

That is it, you have successfully changed your facebook name to a single name.
