Barely 9 Months after Blackberry messenger (BBM) was launched into Android and iOS, I think is finally coming to Windows phone in July.
There was a report Sometime in January that BBM was coming to windows phones but the hope of windows users was dragged through the mud when Blackberry CEO John Chen said the Company has no plans for BBM on windows phone OS.
But some days back, The CEO John Chen made a surprise announcement at the blackberry earnings call that BBM will be officially available in windows phone OS in July 2014.
The app which was only available on blackberry devices was made available on Android and iOS devices months ago, though the company faced alot of challenges fixing bugs as different unauthorized and unofficial BBM was all over Google's play store but the company later successfully built a more stable version of BBM.
Lack of BBM on windows phone OS has made the popular Nokia Lumia lose a lot of face in the market as people where beginning to go for Android and iOS phones to enable them use BBM and connect easily with Friends and Family.
There is no fixed date yet as regards when the device will be made available to windows phone users but we will keep you posted as time goes on.
