Although Youtube has it's own player for playing videos but it gives you limited controls like Play, Pause and also limited sounds over the videos, although this might be enough for you in watching mostly short videos but when It comes to long videos, You might need that Extra edge that a lovely media Player like VLC Media player can provide.
First you will need to Install VLC Media Player on your PC if you have not already done so, then follow the Steps below :
Configuring VLC Media Player for Watching Youtube Videos
- Open your VLC Media Player and Click on Tools
- Then Select Preference or press CTRL+P and a new window will be opened
- Under Show Settings, Tick All
- Then choose input/codec and then Choose Preferred Video resolution as HD(720p) ,it is normally set as Best Available and click on save.
- After doing the Settings above, Open VLC, Click on Media
- Select Open Network Stream or just press Ctrl+N keys on your PC nad it wil automatically open the networl URL Dialogue box.
- Now Copy the Youtube Video URL and paste it in the Empty Field and then Click on Play.
That's it, you are done.
