Whatsapp set to release free Voice call Feature

Since Facebook took over Whatsapp, a whole lot of changes has been made which includes the blue double stroke for read messages and now they are set to launch free Voice call Feature on Whatsapp.

Skype and Viber has been the messenger apps leading when it comes to free Voice calls but with this new launch, I think the competition is about to get stiffer.

Whatsapp CEO Jan Koum said at the MWC 2014 that the new update of the messenger will come with a voice call Feature. The update for the service was slated for the second quarter of 2014 but it's yet to make its way to users.

However the leaked pictures of the next update of whatsapp showed some alterations in Whatsapp User Interface which suggested that the groundwork for the feature is been laid.

The leaked images of the upcoming User Interface shows that the app has been enabled with other language translations which will be displayed by the time a person receives a call via Whatsapp.

I really think this is a welcomed development as it will give users more value for their money. There are rumours saying that the feature will only be available for paid versions of whatsapp however we are yet to confirm anything.
